House cafeterias change names for 'french' fries and 'french' toast Do our elected officials really have nothing better to do with their time or energy? And just how petty and snotty is this? This smacks of playground fighting tactics, of people who are too immature to handle the concept of someone feeling and thinking in a different way. Though the person who emailed me the link made a good point when he asked the hypothetical question, "Will they serve frog's legs?" What about sauerkraut? Or even hot dogs, for that matter? Those foods are actually closer in ethnic relation than french fries or french toast are to France. Makes me want to order french toast on general principle, diet be damned. |
